Job Description
-Supervision of all preventive and corrective maintenance works.
-All required technical guidance on troubleshoot on mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems
-Develop complete library of technical procedures for all main preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
-Support on the completion of all relevant paperwork, including work order cards, checklists, AWPs etc. by service technicians under supervision.
-Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed
-Assist and help lead Large Corrective teams with replacement of major turbine components e.g. generators and gearboxes
-Assist in all areas of site operations
-Establish and maintain general safety from the system / Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)
-Comply with all NOMAC Policies and Procedures and customer site rules direct all Wind farm operations at the site for maintenance and repair, focusing on performance and profitability and within the framework of defined operation guidelines, protocols and procedures.
-Develop strategy for improved maintenance diagnostic and operation to provide additional customer value and reduce cost of service. Recognizes occurrences of wind turbine error codes and appropriately reports the problem.
-Optimization of turbines downtime, of WTGs availabilities and other main service KPIs. Ensure the performance of the wind farm exceeds the guarantees provided to customer
-Perform Quality audits to all works performed, as required to ensure maintenances are diligently performed and equipment is clean and in good operating condition.
-Maintains proper care of Company tools and vehicles.
-Report all incidents and occurrences as per NOMAC Health and Safety policy.
Skills
Minimum Qualification: Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience preferred (as a minimum Technical degree Electrical or Electromechanical)
Minimum Experience:
-3-4 years experience as a Wind Turbine Technician in Vestas V90 WTGs, including extensive experience in troubleshooting, uptower repairs, replacement of major components and operation (start/ stop/ reset) of Vestas V90 3MW.
-Valid driving license (NON CDL / CDL)
-Must be able to pass a physical exam and drug/alcohol screening.
-Must be able to climb and work a top freestanding wind turbine towers that exceed 80 mts in height.
