Job Description
- Under the directives and supervision of Procurement Supervisor, achieve a zero delay in buying or procuring the required materials, supplies, contractors and services of all operating units in the plant, in order to ensure zero interruption of business operation.
- Accurate implementation of Procurement Procedures and on-time submission of accurate reports to the Finance Department.
- Maximization of all sources and resources to ensure 100% availability of the requested materials.
- Produce an immediate alternative in case of non-availability of requested specifications.
- Minimum deviation on Consumables, Spare parts and Chemicals during stock take activities.
- Submit suggestions for work improvement.
- Complete attendance on required HSE trainings and all other trainings.
- Continuous familiarization with the Oracle system in all Materials Management levels.
- Constant survey of the market for new suppliers and vendors and update data base.
- Develop a file of latest catalogues and pamphlets of materials and supplies.
- Fully recorded (documented) communication with all operating units.
- Ensure RFQ has been sent on time, Negotiate prices, follow up with and ensure that products are delivered on time to our warehouse.
- Maintain good relationships& establish and manage contracts with suppliers in accordance with the company expectation.
- Liaise with requesters/ departmental contacts to ensure timely resolution of queries
- Liaise with Accounts Payable to resolve supplier payment issues.
- On-time communication (no delay; no pending) with all internal and external channels.
- Ad hoc duties as required covering the day to day procurement activities in the absence of the Procurement Supervisor.
Skills
- University graduate/Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Engineering (Production/Mechanical or related field)
- Knowledge of local and international procurement standards and regulations
- At least 7 years of related work experience, preferably in industrial, manufacturing or power plant environment
- Excellent skills in buying related activities
- Experience in IPP a must; experience in a power plant or industrial environment preferred.
- Experience in SAP-ERP
- High degree of initiative, reliability and work ethics, communication skills
