Job Description

Job Summary:

Ensures that the required standards of ISO 9001, 18001 and 14001 are upheld. 

Develop, manage and maintain the Company HSE Systems and Policies.

Provide functional support to the HSE personnel at all plant sites. 

Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring that the company HSE policy is fully understood, implemented, operated and maintained.
  • Verifying the implementation and operation of HSE Systems, by planning and conducting internal quality audits.
  • Reviews HSE Management System for its continual improvement of its health and safety performance.  
  • Review, update and control the distribution of the Company HSE Manual and other related procedures.
  • Generate project specific HSE Plans.
  • Carry out QHSE evaluations of projects, identify problem areas and ensure all matters are discussed
  • Ensuring project Risk Assessment / Job Hazard Analysis.
  • Provides training for all personnel to ensure awareness of safety programs and policies of the company.
  • Perform QHSE audits at specified intervals.
  • Ensure Environmental Aspect-Impact and Hazard Risk Assessment are carried out, controlled and updated
  • Identify, establish and monitor IMS objectives, Targets and programs
  • Provide necessary resources for effective implementation and sustenance of IMS
  • Report IMS performance to the management periodically
  • Ensure Legal compliance with respect to their scope of activities
  • Ensure identification of root cause for the identified non conformances/ deviations and to implement corrective actions/Preventive actions
  • Identify the competency gap for their subordinate personnel and implement necessary actions. 
  • Carry out annual performance evaluation of reporting employees
  • Ensure periodic medical checkups are carried out for the employees
  • Ensure participation and communication amongst various plants and personnel regarding OH&S hazards and management system and EMS
  • Verification of incident investigations and to ensure remedial actions is implemented. 
  • Ensure the availability of medical facilities and medicines in the ambulance
  • Monitor performance against quality requirements
  • Ensure identification and monitoring of calibration of instruments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills

  1. Completed recognized course in Quality, Health, Safety and Environment auditing.
  2. With in-depth knowledge of International Safety Standards, OSHA 1910, ISO practices
  3. Expert in KSA safety regulations and requirements.
  4. Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles
  5. Knowledge of applicable legal requirements
  6. Hazard Risk assessment
  7. Aspect Impact assessment
  8. Investigating skills
  9. Knowledge of firefighting equipment
  10. Knowledge of first aid measures
  11. Knowledge of PPE and safety equipment
  12. Knowledge of spillage containment
  13. Knowledge of managing HSE emergencies
  14. Knowledge of identification, classification and disposal of waste
  15. Knowledge of Emission Monitoring with solid record of leadership, initiative talking, collaboration and innovation.
  16. Strong interpersonal skills
  17. Computer literate
