Job Description
- Under the overall directives of TO Manager, leads and directs the activities of IT groups to achieve and ensure delivery of section objectives.
- Maintain system reliability, develop and implement new systems.
- Manage the IT department activities and staff, including staff appraisals and career development.
- Develop the required IT policies and ensure adherence to these policies.
- Manage network operations, data back-ups and regular hardware/software maintenance.
- Ensure securing company data and network by setting up the required security policies and measures.
- To support the Technical Support Manager in any other assigned activity aiming to reach the goals of the department.
- Takes the lead on proposing the disaster recovery site as per business requirements.
- Leads in system upgrade requirements.
- Conducts audit review test on the approved IT processes.
- Leads IT Project implementation.
- Maintains and manages the SLAs with external vendors.
- Lead System installation project.
- Submits the IT scorecard on a monthly basis.
- Measures the IT performance and users’ satisfaction.
- Improves IT function automation.
- Facilitates ‘continues improvement’ on user’s awareness about IT function and systems.
Skills
- University graduate/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (computer-related fields)
- Strong technical knowledge: systems architecture, application software development in utilities environment, client server and enterprise development, current IT technologies, project management processes, etc.
- Knowledge in systems and policies formulation, budget preparation, competency-based management and performance management.
- At least 7 years of related professional experience, preferably in a manufacturing or power utility setting with the last 3 years in managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and leadership skills
