Job Description
Ensure 100% safety and occupational health of all the workforce
100% availability onsite to monitor activities from safety point of view and ensure safety compliance.
On-time and accurate reporting of daily safety observations to HSE supervisor and work with concerned
staff to rectify observations immediately.
Stop unsafe act/unsafe conditions if situation lead to immediate danger.
Conduct work permit audits.
Review work permits before issuance and assist groups in preparation of proper Job Hazard Analysis or
Risk Assessment.
Issue special risk permits (hot work, confined space, excavation and working at height).
Be prepared for all emergencies and be a member of RPC emergency team.
Act as safety commander in case of emergency until released by IS & HSE Manager.
On-time preliminary reporting of incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions and unsafe acts observed at
site.
Contribute to all HSE-related matters and issues as applicable.
Set as good example by 100% compliance with PPE.
Guide O&M teams to enhance safety compliance at site.
Monitoring and maintaining proper housekeeping activities in all areas to avoid fire risks.
Continuously get updates from the market/other industries regarding the latest in safety situations,
precautions and responses, and report timely to the HSE Supervisor for appropriate directions and
implementations.
Skills
- Industrial Diploma or Technical school graduate
- NEBOSH (IGC) or OSHA 30 Hrs General Industry or equivalent certification in safety
- At least 3 years related professional experience in a similar capacity.
- Work experience in petrochemical/power plant environment.
