Coal and Ash Assistant Desk Operator

Co-ordinate jetty, coal plant and ash plant shift operational activities to ensure timely coal supply to power plant and effectively ash evacuation from power plant in accordance with established schedules, quality, cost and time objectives.

• Follow safety guidelines including  PTW system
• Comply with all statutory and environment norms
• Operation of jetty system, coal handling plants, ash handling plants with optimum efficiency
• Safe start up, safe operation and safe shutdown of coal and ash handling plants.
• Line up of the coal and ash plants and its auxiliaries, changeover of equipment, routine testing of protection system and annunciation system.
• Monitor coal and ash plant operations and handle emergencies including shut-down of units and control coal supply as per requirement.
• Instruction to field operators for safe operation of coal and ash plants.
• Monitor the coal belts loading, bunkering activity on continuous basis to supply uninterrupted coal to power plant.
• Emergency Equipment Trial and restoration of process and Equipment
• Run the plant at maximum capacity and efficiency
• Keep all auxiliaries available and in operating condition to get maximum availability
• Check the defects and raise notifications in SAP
• Handle different emergencies in a coal and ash plants
• Monitor operating parameters and maintain at best.
• Belts utilization to be optimized
• Manpower Management and control jetty system, coal plant and ash plant operations
• Equipment outage analysis and trouble shooting
• Reduction in Aux power consumption, service water consumption & prevention leakages

• Professional power generation qualification
• 5+ years in Coal fired Power plant operations specifically in coal plant (>1200 TPH) and ash handling (>300MW), ideally with jetty fuel delivery experience
