GM Reliability Assurance

This person will be capable of supervising the implementation of the Reliability of Supply Framework in the portfolio in all phases throughout the project lifecycle in order to assure plant reliability. This includes supervision of identification and management of main reliability risks, RAM, failure mode analysis and return of experience management as well as elaboration / implementation of reliability risk mitigation plans and maintenance strategies and as KPI reporting to the Reliability of Supply Committee and NOMAC Director of Reliability of Supply.  

The GM of Reliability Assurance will be part of the overall ACWA Power Reliability Assurance team, as defined in the framework. He / She will work in close cooperation with the ACWA Power Project Execution, Business Development and Portfolio team members which are part of the Reliability Assurance Team, as well as with the Project Company CEO and NOMAC Plant General Managers to assure the implementation of the framework and the Reliability Working Groups.

• Supervise that projects are complying with RoS framework requirements at various stages of the project covering entire project lifecycle and raise deviations to ACWA Portfolio Management and NOMAC
• Supervise reliability risks are properly identified, assessed, managed and mitigated throughout project lifecycle
• Maintain project health dashboard against framework elements and feedback to Reliability Steering Committee
• Perform semi-annual Pareto-analysis for the failures occurred at fleet level
• Develop criteria for identifying the top failures
• Evaluate and benchmark different vendors and equipment across the fleet and formulate recommendations and develop vendor data base
• Collect information about main incidents of the plants in a periodical basis, review and define which will require RCA
• Lead selected RCA and propose methodology to execute it
• Develop a standardized framework to execute RCA
• Act as centre of expertise providing in-depth technical knowledge throughout the project life cycle to implement solutions to improve the plant efficiency and reliability in the long term
• Ensure the implementation of reliability of supply frame reliability of supply
• Identify opportunities of improvement and contribute to organisational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment
• Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude

• Master’s or Bachelor’s in engineering
• 10+ years of experience in the field with high focus on plant reliability
• Leadership experience
• Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail
• Proven success in improving equipment/plant reliability
• Communicate well and listen to other
• 3+ years of experience with scripting tools, programming languages and design verification methods
• Track record of delivery in rapidly changing, highly collaborative, multi-site, multi-stakeholder environments
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
