Manager SSC – Financial Processes

Job Description

People Management

§  Manage self and establish strong intrapersonal relations with PC and Corporate finance teams to understand the range of financial processes and tasks.

§  Within the framework of ACWA Power’s people management policies, procedures, processes and practices, maximise own and employee contribution to business performance.

§  Oversee the transition knowledge management and work with ACWA and SSC service provider’s team by providing guidance, encouraging teamwork and facilitating related professional work processes.

Project Management

§  Lead and manage the transition of financial processes from ACWA power to the Shared Services environment, from technical and operational understanding perspective.

§  Strive toward achieving project milestones and timelines to ensure that overall program is delivered in the scheduled time frame with maximum effectiveness

§  Support project PMO on day to day activities including coordination and communication with various teams & Stakeholders

§  Oversee documentation of “AS IS” processes to identify the gaps and spot the improvement opportunities

§  Effective facilitator between locations (PC & Corporate finance) and Shared Service centre, on matters relating process execution

§  Participate in various project meeting and toll gate reviews etc

Shared Service Engagement

§  Actively contribute to develop tools (e.g. BPM) to translate the workflows, alerts and other required control points

§  Act as technical expert to impart and interpret ACWA financial processes to Shared Service team

§  Oversee the development of training material and knowledge management repository based on process discovery exercise at shared services

§  Take lead in defining the process SLA’s, KPI’s and reverse KPI’s to bring transparency and measurement in service delivery

§  Identify the shortcomings of upstream input (ACWA finance and other functions) and work with stakeholders to find solutions

§  Participate in project review and engagement meetings with ACWA project companies and corporate finance

Technical Support

§  Partner in developing specifications for BPM tools, workflows, approvals and escalation matrix as part of shared services delivery

§  Assist in conducting UAT and readiness assessment of people, processes and applications to agree for final Go Live flag

§  Understand and apply technical knowledge on various finance processes to ensure that required compliance are in place e.g. IFRS, Tax and contractual terms and conditions

§  Implementation of new processes or changes, including integration of new locations to be facilitated in terms of understanding and implementing unique requirements

§  Ensuring that financial applications and any changes are properly embedded within the SSC e.g. Oracle and HFM

§  Implementation of any/all new tools or applications adopted by ACWA finance into SSC environment, as required

Approvals

§  Any changes to existing processes and practices to be finally cleared after consultation with respective stakeholders

Coordination

§  Establish an effective working relationship with consultants, service provider and ACWA locations to ensure that all recommendations and findings identified are acted upon and any escalation is managed promptly.

Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Account / CPA

Minimum Experience:

  • 6 – 8 years’ experience in finance in managerial capacity in project companies/FASB and corporate finance
