Solar Field Engineer - CSP, UAE

People Management

• Supervise the activities and work of the team members to ensure that targets and objectives are achieved and the business plan is delivered in line with the required policies, processes, procedures and systems.

Maintenance Management

• Direct the implementation of established operation and maintenance procedures.
• Initiate the scheduled preventive inspection and maintenance of solar field, equipment, machinery, facilities and other physical assets related to his function.
• Review and recommend new maintenance plans, procedures and schedules.
• Implement necessary established schedules for the proper maintenance and allocation of manpower, material, machinery and equipment resources assigned to the solar field.
• Develop and guide the implementation of work safety procedures and practices.
• Maintain such communications and relations as are necessary to report on the status of matters requiring action and to ensure that corrective action is planned and undertaken.
• Evaluate and provide recommendations on maintenance methods, procedures and schedules.
• Maintain a current knowledge of solar field operational conditions.
• Receive and evaluate pertinent reports, relating to cost and progress of maintenance activities on the solar field and transmit analysis to the Maintenance Manager.
• Coordinate with third party representatives as necessary.
• Control maintenance operations and take any necessary corrective action to ensure compliance with approved plans and budgets.
• Determine and schedule the manpower requirements for each maintenance activity.
• Prepare reports and appropriate recommendations to help evaluate work progress and take appropriate action.
• Work closely with outside inspection and overhaul contractors and provide them with all necessary support.
• Supervise, direct and coordinate the activities of all engineers and other assigned personnel.
• Implement established policies and procedures for the purchasing or requisitioning of material from stores.
• Prepare and establish annual and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain appropriate records of mechanical/civil maintenance methods and procedures.
• Review and recommend mechanical/civil maintenance methods and procedures.

Health, Safety, Security & Environment

• Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental procedures, instructions and controls so that the safety of employees and environmental compliance can be guaranteed.
• Together with HSSE department, ensure that safety rules and regulations are fully explained to plant employees / contractor staff and appropriate safety and protective equipment is worn; safety notices are prominently displayed in all work areas and that all accidents and incidents are efficiently investigated and analysed whilst ensuring that measures are implemented to avoid any recurrence.

Relationship Management

• Develop and maintain effective business relationships with all relevant internal departments and external contractors with highest standards of business ethics, whilst promptly attending to all critical technical issues in-order to ensure the services required by the organisation are delivered in the most effective manner.
• Liaise with EPC / OEM contractors for clarification, analysis and technical guidance in order to ensure clarity of communications/accurate fulfilment of operational requirements.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute in the identification and implementation of change initiatives, programmes and projects in line with the organisation’s standards.

• Adhere to all relevant organisational and departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out to the required standard and in a consistent manner.
