HSSE Management, Monitoring and Reporting

• Oversee HSSE management, performance monitoring and reporting across the Group including reports to the business and Board covering HSSE management and performance compared to targets, achievements, significant challenges, and proposed actions, so as to keep them abreast of the activities of the department in a timely and efficient manner.

Emergency Planning and Response

• Manage, monitor and report the development, implementation, and maintenance of CMER plans to ensure effective response and actions in case of emergency. 

Team Management

• Monitor the daily work of the HSSE teams through guidance and encouragement, and oversee adherence to people management policies, procedures and practices to maximize employee contribution to business performance.

Project & Business Development HSSE Support

• Review HSSE issues and provide technical support during the Business Development phase to ensure effective integration and compliance with HSSE requirements.
• Coordinate with the Business Development team regarding HSSE contractual issues and terms, and mutually agree on the agreements to ensure compliance with internal standards and legislative requirements set by the regulatory authorities.

Stakeholder Management

• Liaise with and maintain positive working relationships with, International and Government bodies, contractors etc., representing NOMAC, to ensure mutual support and adherence to HSSE compliance requirements. 

CSR and Sustainability

• Lead the identification, preparation, coordination and implementation of long term sustainability or CSR programs and initiatives aligned with sector and international best practices, in order to build competitive advantage and ensure the delivery of CSR objectives and goals.

Professional Development

• Keep abreast of the latest developments, methodologies, laws, standards, regulations and provide technical advice and guidance to the Management / Board and other internal departments on all HSSE related matters to ensure the delivery of best-in-class services.

Policies, Processes, Systems & Procedures

• Develop and oversee the creation and implementation of the required policies, procedures and controls covering all areas of the function so that all relevant procedural/legislative requirements and standards are fulfilled.

Health, Safety, Security and Environment

• Direct the compliance of all relevant health, safety and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the function to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude.
