Lead the procurement team (buyers and logistics officer) in planning, organizing and evaluating activities to achieve department objectives.
Responsible for business operations of the procurement section by reviewing procurement contracts, purchase requisitions and creating request for proposals for goods and services.
Coordinate activities of personnel engaged in contract negotiation, buying and selling of equipment materials and services.
Conducts interviews and hires staff and monitors staff training programs.
Approves vendor relationships or can suspend those relationships if vendors are overpricing or conducting unfair negotiations.
Achieve a zero delay in buying or procuring the required materials, supplies, contractors and services of all operating units in the plant, in order to ensure zero interruption of business operation.
Individual Objectives:
The cycle time to send an email upon receiving the Purchase Request to be less than or equal one (1) day
Ensure RFQ has been sent on time, Negotiate prices, follow up with and ensure that products are delivered on time to our warehouse.
Maintain good relationships& establish and manage contracts with suppliers in accordance with the company expectation.
Liaise with requesters/ departmental contacts to ensure timely resolution of queries
Liaise with Accounts Payable to resolve supplier payment issues.
The total non-conforming purchased items to be less than or equal 0.5% of the total purchased items
The cycle time to issue the Purchase Order (PO) to be less than or equal one (1) day upon receiving the required number of quotations,
To list on a monthly basis the suppliers who fall below company expectation (quotation forwarded in 2 weeks to RPC after receipt of RFQ) and to find an alternative; a report will be submitted to Supply Chain Manager on a monthly basis.

University Graduate/Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Engineering, Management (Production/Mechanical or related field)
Knowledge of local and international procurement standards and regulations
