Job Description

Individual Objectives:

1. 100% compliance to "Key Strict Rules" for Power Operations Manager

2. Zero unplanned shutdowns/trips caused by human errors resulting to loss of capacity required for Petro Rabigh (Within WECA limits).

3. 90% compliance in training required by the department at the end of the quarter.

4. No mis-operations resulting to damages in equipment/component (including lack of inspection)

5. No deviation on reports required by RPC/RAWEC administration.

6. Non-compliance of total emission limit not to exceed the maximum mentioned in WECA

7. Achieve zero-injuries in the power plant.

 

Key Strict Rules for the Deputy Power Operations Manager:

1. Communicate all routine, abnormal or emergency Plant Operations with the Power Plant Manager. Discuss Plant/equipment limitations, client requirements, equipment abnormalities, operator issues, relations with other department issues, and any concern that can affect plant production & operation excellence.

2. Ensure that all operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner ensuring that all plant controls systems are operating automatically at the design operation set point and that all protection devices are in place and functioning.

3. Establish a culture of prediction where qualified shift personnel monitor equipment performance, and timely inform management of equipment performance degradation/malfunction. Make every effort to create a team that aims for “Zero” error in operation activities.

4. Strive to set up a culture of methodic behavior in the department reinforcing the need to follow the strict rules of each position.

5. Strive to create a culture of system sponsorship assigning a system (BFWP, FGD, STG etc.) to every team member, to build an ownership culture on plant production area/equipment.

6. Create improvement programs on the plant area/equipment; promote operating programs that can be run annually/bi-annually, etc.

7. Make every effort to plan, plan and plan every activity; the department should never act in any situation (regular and emergency) without the proper documentation (RPC/RAWEC or MHI specific purpose procedures) especially on the activities that form part of the day to day and planned operation actions.

8. Try hard to communicate with the key actions operators of your team (Operation Manager Assistant, Shift Superintendent, Shift Supervisors, Control Room Operators, and Foreman), request training on and share techniques to detect operator’s loss of concentration.

9. Create, implement and communicate your department internal audit results with the object to correct deviation on the operational activities (late arrival, not completing the rounds, not using the proper documentation).
