Senior Planning Engineer

Job Description

  • Planning, scheduling, coordination and control of routine Corrective, Breakdown & Preventive
    maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate monthly/weekly/daily scheduling with all concerned departments for conflicts resolution
    and optimum utilization of resources.
  • Liaise with Materials & Services section to ensure availability of required materials & services
    necessary for routine maintenance activities.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure no notifications or work orders are pending without any justified
    reason.
  • Ensure quality of work orders historical data in SAP to facilitate reliability assessments of related
    equipment.
  • Release various statistical & descriptive reports on work status & KPIs compliance.
  • Coordinate with R&I concerned staff to impose SAP PM Master Data as and when any significant
    deviations are observed between PM Orders actual and planned data.
  • Vigilantly monitor the approved budget vs. actual expenses to control maintenance costs and
    section expenses.
  • Fully comply with applicable procedures and Code of Ethics to protect and ensure reliable utilization
    of Company’s investments.
  • Review outstanding work orders and ensure correct status of each.
  • Manage the activities of routine planning section personnel and exercise financial authority at the
    level established for this position.
  • Provide guidance to planners and schedulers in their day-to-day activities by assigning tasks, setting
    work priorities, reviewing work load and monitoring results to meet section work requirements.
  • Effectively lead Planning and Scheduling process of routine maintenance to ensure that all Corrective & Preventive activities are prepared in SAP as per work priorities & within available
    manpower capacities.
  • Ensure monthly work plan and weekly / daily work schedules are prepared in line with work orders
    priorities in coordination with all concerned (Operations, Maintenance, Contractors , Materials /
    Services Planners). Review & resolve any conflicts or change in priorities due to unforeseen /
    emergency situations encountered to minimize their impact on schedules.
  • Regularly liaise with Materials & Services section personnel to follow-up on timely availability of
    required materials, external contractors, vendor’s specialists etc., for all applicable work orders.
  • Regularly monitor Work Orders progress and ensure no notifications or work orders (specially
    related to EHSS Critical Equipment) are pending without justified reason.
  • Ensure quality & completeness of historical data at TECO of maintenance work in SAP i.e., (actual
    work details, actual hours in SAP Work Orders) and (Technical history in SAP Notification/ Activity
    Report) by concerned maintenance sections to facilitate reliability assessments of related
    equipment.
  • Monitor PM programs effectiveness in SAP on regular basis by analyzing work orders having
    variations between actual and planned PM Master Data. Coordinate with Consultant concerned
    staff to review & improve SAP PM Master Data for such significant deviations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with Maintenance KPIs and implement identified corrective action,
    as applicable.
  • Review planned costs of work orders before release and actual costs after completion of work
    orders to ensure costs are within the approved budgets. Vigilantly monitor the costs throughout
    the year to prevent bay budget over-run.
  • Monitor section staff related costs e.g., trainings, overtime, and business travels etc., and ensure
    they remain within the approved budget.
  • Upon completion of PM for each critical item (PSV, Critical Instruments; Tanks / Vessels; Rotating
    Equipment; Piping) ensure next due date is updated in master data as the frequency and actual
    work completion date.
  • Ensures that on-call support form planning is arranged for week-ends / holidays to prevent prompt
    response and effective coverage to plant operational needs.
  • Act as Element / Sub-Element Administrator, as assigned and ensure full compliance to the
    requirements.
  • Liaise with materials planner to ensure ordering & availability of required materials including Street
    Buying needs. Also coordinate for equipment regarding repair / reconditioning though
    Refurbishment process.
  • Liaise with service planners to initiate appointment of contractors, vendor’s specialists,
    supplementary manpower and outside workshops works, as applicable. Subsequently liaise with
    third parties to facilitate work expedition.
  • Ensure error-free and on-time maintenance reports submission.
  • Ensure preparation of Annual Maintenance Plan at least 1 year before and ordering of delivery of
    materials on time to comply with the approved Maintenance Plan.

Skills

  • University graduate/Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Industrial preferable)
  • Licensed professional engineer
  • IT Skills (SAP / CMMS related Modules and other supporting software)
  • At least 5 years related professional experience , with at least 1 year in supervisory
  • At least 3 years work experience in maintenance planning or maintenance section/department in power plant operations (preferably, ISO certified).
  • Highly organized, strong analytical and communication skills; attention to details and initiative, strong personality and capable to audit the activities report of technicians.
