Strategy and Plans
Administration of the Global Taxation strategy in line with the corporate strategy to ensure vertic al alignment and horizontal integration with regional finance teams across in close c oordina tion with ACWA Group Ta x
People Management
Coordination with various teams to ensure that teams in all respective region provide appropriate information to achieve the best-in-class taxation function
Tax Risk management and Compliance
Administer in coordination with NOMAC Group Tax Manager and with the help of ACWA Group Ta x, effective tax management policies and strategize for efficient and re alistic tax planning primarily in KSA ; maintain tax issues database and close assessments quickly
Provide support to Business Development team on reviews of mo dels/ a g ree ment s, ta xe s, accounting etc. from tax and VAT risk perspective.
Re view, manage Compliance of corporate and businesse s tax returns (Zakat & ta x, VA T, WHT e tc .) and im p lem ent tax monitoring/ compliance system; crea te /m ainta in database of tax assessments/queries to enable knowledge transfer
Summarize taxation issues at subsidiaries and report to management tax risk and it related impact along with implementable tax so lutions
Add ress complex financial and accounting issues having tax impact and provide explanation to tax authorities where needed (e.g . lea sing , de fe rre d ta xe s, c ontra ct s, de riva tives, c onso lid a tion , FX, transfer pricing in relation to technical and development fees etc)

Maintain close relations with ACWA Group Tax and tax advisors to ensure that tax decisions are aligned with Group Ta x.
Help in create tax efficient investment structures supporting exit strategies
Utilize application of DTTs to create efficient international tax structures
Review bid models using a Tax Compliance Checklist
Review of contract tax clauses from tax and VAT risk perspective.
Identify and implement tax saving opportunities while fulfilling tax payment/reporting obligations
Work with ACWA group tax to develop/ implement tax efficient transfer pricing policies for the company in close coordination with ACWA Group Tax
Lead tax audits/inspections for corporate office and support businesses to successfully defend filing positions and negotiate favourable resolutions
Ensure consistency of tax reporting between businesses in line with ACWA Group requirem en t.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities of improvement and contribute to organisational and departmental change initiatives, programmes and projects taking into account best practice and standards in the business environment.
Health, Safety, Security and Environment
Ensure compliance to all relevant health, safety, security and environmental management policies, procedures and controls across the department to guarantee employee sa fety , legislative compliance and a responsible environmental attitude .
