Job Summary
Perform all kinds of welding including TIG, MIG, arc, high pressure, low pressure and gas welding. Be able to fabricate metals and drive forklift. Performing a variety of welding functions. The individual should be familiar with and capable of using various types of welding equipment. A welder is also required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as supervision deems necessary.

Roles & Responsibilities

1	To perform all types of structure steel welding, metal cutting, fabrication, inert gas welding in all positions as per related Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) certificate.
2	To assess type of welding for different applications and required welding electrodes /filling wires according to type material and gauge.
3	To operate oxy-acetylene equipment (manual torch and automatic cutting machines) for cutting, beveling, and brazing plate and pipe and pre/ post heating of welding in accordance with international standards.
4	Perform welding on steel, aluminum, PVC, GRP & plastic.
5	To recommend to Supervisor for purchase of materials and supplies for various types of welding requirements
6	To Read and interprets fabrication drawings and weld symbols.
7	To operate Forklift if required.
8	To carry out any other duty assigned to him by the management from time to time.
9	Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Experience (Type and duration)

Minimum

3 years related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferable

4-6 years of related experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

1. Awareness of Quality, Occupational Health & Safety and Environment Management system principles

2. Be able to execute the welding activities with high precision.

3. Good communication skills in English Language.

4. Hazard Risk assessment

Valid welding performance qualification certificate.

Work Condition

While performing the duties of this position, the employee normally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions. In high precarious places he may be occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or chemicals risk and electrical shock. He may be required to work in confined spaces.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but very loud conditions do exist.

ISO9001, 14001, OHSAS 18001 awareness/working knowledge is preferred
