DCS Engineer - CSP, UAE

What we need:

DCS Engineer, planning, supervision and control of all CMMS activities, budgeting, spares management, IMS, resolution preventive and corrective maintenance activities. Plan and oversee annual, minor and major outages activities on the Distributed Control Systems. Has extensive experience in managing and overseeing activities on power plant DCS systems (preferably ABB DCS) and associated equipment, and support the activities undertaken on the instrumentation and control system. Good process knowledge and understanding of coal plants operations.

This role will be assigned to our Concentrated Solar Power Plant in Dubai.

Who will fit:

• 7 - 10 years’ experience in DCS Maintenance in water desalination and power generation plants where 2 years of experience are in a supervisory role.
• Bachelors degree holder in Engineering

What are the required attributes:

• Practical experience and know-how of Instrument and Control Engineering
• Knowledge of downtime analysis and practical knowledge of problem-solving tools
• Knowledge of maintenance management methods, of predictive inspection tools and of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System, good knowledge of SAP Template desirable)
• Project Management
• Detailed understanding of preventative/predictive maintenance theory
• Mentoring, coaching and people management skills
• Knowledge of the operations in water desalination and power generation plants and of ACWA NOMAC operations
• Strong planning, organizing, and integration skills
• Experience of having conducted at least one outage for critical instrumentation and control systems
• Team work and effective collaboration skills
